Stories of courage in a group of asylum seekers for an inclusive and sustainable future

Abstract Asylum seekers experience conditions of social disadvantage, poor labor market outcomes, and low-paid jobs. Therefore, vocational guidance career counseling must function as a supportive practice for asylum giving voice to them focusing on their strengths, such courage. The present study examined the personal stories courage 71 who migrated Italy. Results highlight situations characterized by undignified living conditions, dehumanizing transitions, barriers imposed future aspirations. These voices could become significant starting point consider seekers’ in perspective an inclusive sustainable future.
